KaTom Restaurant Supply
Design + Build
KaTom wanted to expand its business and offer a design-build service, so it needed a logo for this new department. The brief for this logo emphasized a desire for something “big and bold” to go on the side of the installers’ trucks. Also, the Design + Build team asked to include an axis element to reference the tools used in designing commercial kitchens.
Email Campaigns
In late 2023, I led a design overhaul of KaTom’s email campaigns. In Q1 2024, these changes led to an 8.5% increase in conversions and an 18.2% boost in revenue compared to Q3 2023. This growth resulted from my redesign of our automated campaigns and the introduction of new weekly recurring campaigns.
While managing KaTom’s email marketing, I developed and scheduled a month-long campaign for a free shipping promotion being tested with segments of our contact list. Additionally, I helped design and schedule three weekly broadcast emails to promote featured brands, contributing further to our success. As a result, KaTom’s emails saw even more growth in Q2 2024, with conversions rising by 11.9% and revenue increasing by 20.1%.
Website Banners
Creating KaTom’s website banners was always a fun challenge for me since it involved working with different banner sizes and creatively fitting text, images, and buttons into each format. Every month, I designed a new set of banners for the homepage, ensuring the desktop and mobile versions could fit all the information they needed. Additionally, I designed banners for search and product pages, which let me explore different design approaches.
Megsterpieces
Logo Design
Megsterpieces is a brand created by the artist Meg Gould. With a growing following on social media, Meg wanted a logo that would make her brand recognizable and attract new followers. She is an avid painter so incorporating a paintbrush was very important to her. Meg worked closely with me while developing the logo, and I was able to design something we were both happy with.
